About
Safety isn't an option, it's the foundation we stand on.
Geelong Slip Testing is the only local provider of slip testing and related services in the Geelong, Bellarine and Surf Coast regions.
We have and maintain the latest technology in “slip testing” and have multiple slip testing technicians who have been trained, assessed and accredited as being competent in contemporary slip testing techniques.

Whether it is for a shopping centre, restaurant, office, warehouse, aquatic centre, hospital or any other public space, we specialise in accurately testing the slip resistance of floors and stairway surfaces against the requirements of the two Australian Standards relevant to pedestrian surfaces – AS 4586:2013 and AS 4663:2013.
Our reports are clear, practical, and designed to help you understand and make informed decisions about pedestrian surface floor safety on your site.
NATA Accreditation
Geelong Slip Testing is currently preparing for NATA accreditation of our slip testing services.
The NATA accreditation is a stringent process that assesses:
- Technician training and competence levels.
- The suitability and proper calibration of slip testing equipment.
- Business procedures and practices for slip testing services.
- Workplace compliance against specified standards, such as ISO.
- Ability to produce reliable technical results.
We don’t need to be NATA accredited, but we have chosen to seek that accreditation, consistent with our commitment to providing quality slip testing services against the requirements of the Australian Standards.
What we do
Geelong Slip Testing’s primary focus is on:
- Providing slip testing services to help clients identify and better understand the level of slip risk that may be present in their workplaces, the public facilities they manage, their leased premises and even in private homes.
- Guiding clients on appropriate pedestrian surface treatments for floors and stair surfaces where slip testing results show slip resistance is not compliant with the Australian Standards.
- Determining whether slip risks exist in new builds or in flooring repairs undertaken by other contractors.
- Providing slip testing compliance certificates where slip resistance is found to meet the requirements of the Australian Standards.
- Arranging repairs or treatment of floors with identified slip risks.
